Hôtel Rivière

Pros: Great value for money in the center of town with a nice view of the river. Secured parking was a fair price for the location and the Manager/owner was very friendly and accommodating.

Good for overnight stay

Pros: Very central. Beautiful view from bedroom window over river

Cons: Room was a little small. Parking outside was a lottery but free overnight

Great value hotel in great location

Pros: The hotel is in a great location next to the river and lovely old part of Castres. Travelling by bicycle I had a safe storage area in the huge garage. The room was spacious and there was a good fan to help to keep cool.

Cons: The shower cubicle was small but it worked perfectly OK!

Great hotel to stay in to see Castres

Pros: Excellent location in centre of town. Secure garage for our motor scooters. Lovely owners.

Pros: Room was spacious. Bathroom a little bit small. Location perfect in the city center. Breakfast was OK but making a toaster available would be great.

Pros: Our third year coming to the Riviere, when touring by motorcycle in France. Very friendly and helpful owner of this very comfortable and spotlessly clean hotel in an easy to find central location with a parking garage.

Very central

Pros: When arriving you need a code to get in so make sure you have it if you don’t have phone access. Luckily we had a sim to be able to phone. The room was adequate with a view to the street. Could do with extra pillows as always a problem in Europe. Owner was very accommodating and loaned me a kettle for my morning cuppa. Very central secure parking at a price

Cons: The stairs were extremely steep and there were two sets of them to the main floor of rooms ok for me but difficult for someone with a disability like my husband but he just managed. Not too keen on Castres as a town to visit. Maybe because it was Sunday and it was absolutely dead

Pros: Right by the river, very good location and a sports bar next door to the hotel

Cons: There are stairs up to the first floor reception, the rooms are either on the first, second or third floor and there was no lift.

Pros: Excellent location - a long side the river and a few steps away from all the attractions
