Lovely Villa hosted by friendly staff awaits your visit to Carcassonne

Pros: The location was excellent, walking distance to the castle and the city. The room was ideal for our family trip, having a low table to play games on was ideal.

Cons: The mini fridge in the room was noisy at times and made getting to sleep a little hard at times. If it was placed in a cabinet it would have lessened the noise.

Excellent location and attentive host.

Pros: Dominique was a great host who gave us many helpful advice about places to eat and visit. The location was excellent, walking distance to the castle. There was good parking at the premises and the accommodation was easy to locate.

Excellent and better weather would have made it perfect

Pros: Centrally located 10 mins walk to medieval city, 15 mins to main city with shops, markets, large central square and boat trips on canal du midi. Really nice pool although sadly weather wasn’t great. Excellent selection at breakfast with fresh bread and croissants with cold meats and cheeses. Room very clean and comfortable. Dominique, the host, couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. Gave us loads of information where to go, booked restaurant table for our first night and even rescued us from the airport when we were unable to get a taxi to the property!

Cons: Because the weather wasn’t great it would have been nice to have an English speaking channel on the TV in the room for the evening but this really wasn’t a problem.

Pros: Beds very comfortable and clean. Very near to the old city so not far to walk. Dominique was very helpful with recommendations and organising car to airport. Would stay again.

Pros: Ideally placed for walking to both the medieval town and the modern one. Mine host very helpful and friendly. Stunning view of the citadel from our bedroom. Lovely pool in the garden

Cons: Weather not good enough for us to get in the pool!

Pros: Lovely welcome from Dominique, safe parking on site, location to the citè. The soap bar for body and hair promoting a greener environment.

Fantastic sport with a castle view and super hosts.

Pros: It was easy to access, plenty of space for cars and bikes to park, great breakfast room and breakfast. The hosts were absolutely fantastic and nothing was a problem. Happy to suggest dinner spots.

Cons: It was during the heat wave and our fridge broke. We had dog food that needed to be refrigerated. It was just unlucky timing.

Recommended stay

Pros: We had a very pleasant stay in Carcassonne. Dominique, who was helping out at the property, was particularly friendly and helpful—he gave us great tips for restaurants in Carcassonne and beyond, and even assisted with bookings. The location is excellent, with nice views and easy access to the old town. The room was quiet and comfortable, making it a solid base for exploring the region.

Cons: If there’s one area that could be improved, it’s the breakfast—it felt quite basic and uninspired. A bit more variety or a touch of local flavor would make a real difference. Also, with only two bikes available for guests, it would be helpful to have a few more on hand for those looking to explore the area without a car.
