Carcassonne Cultural Chill-out

Pros: The residence is directly opposite the Cité, which holds the Château Comtal and the Basilica. It is just over a five minute walk to the main gate. There is parking available outside the property, which is modern, spotless and has all the amenities required. There are restaurants and bars in the Cité and also just along Rue Trivalle. The town centre is a fifteen minutes walk across the river, where there are many bars, restaurants and shops. The train station is a further 5 minutes. Everything is within easy walking distance.

Cons: There weren't any problems with the residence. When we arrived at the airport, there were no taxis available and when the bus arrived to go into town, it was the only daily bus, so be careful if you don't hire a car.

Pros: Excellent location and really convenient being able to park so close to the centre of Carcassonne. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for our short, 2 night stay. It was great to be able to walk into the centre in about 5 minutes.

Cons: The pillows on the bed weren't very comfortable.

Very beautiful city and nice apartment!

Pros: The apartment is located in the centre, near the castle. It’s equipped with all necessary facilities. Very clean and comfortable for 4 persons. The host gave us detailed instructions how to check-in and how to check-out. WiFi works perfectly and it’s really important because in the previous location we had the big problems with WiFi. The host offers the local wines in the apartment and it’s very pleasant!

Pros: Very pleasant stay! Everything was perfectly clean and well organized. The host was friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the beautiful medieval city of Carcassonne. The apartment was exactly as shown in the photos. Highly recommended! Thank you, Alexander!

LOVELY HIGH STANDARD COMFORTABLE LARGE APARTMENT IN EXCELLENT LOCATION , HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Pros: A fantastic two bed / Bathroom Apartment location is excellent on lovely Rue Trivalle part pedestrian lower down. The walk to the medieval cite is just round the corner. Alex has renovated his two apartments to a high standard modern and comfortable. No air con but a very good tower fan in each bedroom worked well. Great Wall wine display of local wines that can be purchased at cost price. Apartment very secure electronic front door operated to open by a switch on the wall. Alex could be contacted by phone or booking.com messages and very helpful. A nice hard back Carcassonne welcome guide with local information and about the apartment in paragraphs within the area information. Along Rue Trivalle towards the bridge is a convenient mini store for essentials and lots of nice bars and restaurants. Overall a lovely stay.

Cons: Nothing about the apartment would just recommend a sign above the main secure door exit button as looks like a light switch and lights were automatic so no need to press it. Instructions (not complicated ) are in the nice book but when arriving later and tired do not want to read a book just unpack and go to explore and eat. Or a laminated quick guide on the table. We felt silly but tired and other resident made same comments so feel justified and would help not to bother anyone.

Perfect place, close to everything and well equipped apartment.

Pros: The position was really close to the medieval town and free parking was opposite the accommodation.

Pros: Perfect locationm full equiped , close to castle, available parking next to entrance door, host provide coffee and tea for free and big choice of wine for very friendly price. Recommend. We were 5 persons. Many thanks for hospitality.
