The best place to see the rural France

Pros: We celebrated the wife’s birthday. It was the best place we ever celebrated it. Dogs friendly. Actually it’s a winery house. The householders are family - very friendly. Thanks a lot.

Pros: The chateau is lovely and old, staff are great and food amazing.

Cons: Shower could have done with hook on wall so you could stand underneath it.

Marvelous hotel with excellent restaurant and wonderful staff.

Pros: Charming staff and a wonderful hotel full of character with an excellent restaurant. We have stayed here before and will definitely return. All the staff are so helpful and friendly offering lots of suggestions for places to visit.

Another wonderful experience at the Chateau de Cavanac

Pros: The ambience and style of the hotel is unique and very agreeable. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The room was well appointed, spotlessly clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The restaurant is wonderful for its ambience and food and is a must for anyone staying in the Chateau. I would highly recommend a visit to this lovely venue.

Cons: This hotel has so much to offer, I think it falls short when it comes to breakfast. It is completely self service and the quality of the food available for breakfast is very mediocre.

A relaxing stay.

Pros: A lovely one night stay! Very comfortable room in the tower. We had a very good evening meal in the adjoining restaurant plus an excellent breakfast the following morning. We received a warm welcome on our arrival & appreciated the fact that the hotel had honoured an earlier booking which we had to cancel because of illness.

Cons: Nothing major but although the furnishing in our bedroom was perfect ( including a lovely modern shower room), the public area was a bit tired with chairs which needed to recovered.

Old world charm

Pros: A wonderful chateau hotel with old world charm, this property offered a very comfortable stay. The rooms are large if you don’t opt for the rooms in the tower. The furnishings were in keeping with the old world style. The staff at reception was friendly and informative. The restaurant is good and has a fixed menu at 45€. The pool area was really nice. It offers secure parking, which is a bonus.

Cons: It is beginning to show signs of wear.

Amazing chateau stay in period hotel

Pros: Getting to stay in the chateau, which was converted to hotel 100 years ago. Heaps of character. Dinner was amazing at the restaurant, and they sell wine which can be enjoyed in the lounge.

Cons: I HATE the TV in the room. So unnecessary and kills the old world vibe.

Pros: This place is crazy- it's a rambling old chateau completely full of character and charm. Staircases all over the place... We had a room in the tower. Seems it's one of the smallest but it was the really quaint, quirky feel we were after. Ate in their restaurant- it was completely full on a Saturday night, showing how the locals rate it.
