Beautiful accommodation with fabulous hosts

Pros: We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful guest house in Carcassonne. The rooms were stylish, spotless, and super comfortable, with amazing views of the city. The pool was a perfect spot to unwind, and breakfast each morning was a real treat—homemade, fresh, and served with warmth. Serge and Jean-Yves are incredible hosts, genuinely welcoming and full of charm. Their attention to detail made everything feel extra special. It’s just a short walk to the medieval centre, so the location couldn’t be better. A peaceful, elegant escape with a truly personal touch. We’d come back in a heartbeat!

Pros: These two hosts are the nicest people you could meet. They make it feel like you are part of the household, and nothing is too much trouble. They gave us a lovely treat for our anniversary and a picnic for an early morning train journey. They have a beautiful home and made us so welcome. I mean, how many hosts would pick you up and drop you off at the airport. They booked a beautiful restaurant for our wedding anniversary and we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Carcassonne. Thankyou both so much.

Cons: Nothing as everything was lovely, and you only have to ask if you want anything.

What a gem!

Pros: The accommodation was stylist and very clean with exceptional views of Carcassonne and the added bonus of a pool. We were lucky enough to have dinner at Chambre Avec Vue twice during our stay and it was amazing! A must if you are lucky enough to stay here. Overall a wonderful stay with great hosts.

Amazing view with delightful hosts :)

Pros: We stayed here on part of our honeymoon trip cycling the canal de midi. Cannot emphasise how amazing this b&b is, with the most lovely and generous hosts. The view is absolutely stunning, and there is so much attention to detail from the tasteful decor, delicious breakfast with homemade jams to the entirely blackout blinds making for a great night’s sleep. Thank you so much, we hope to be back!

An outstanding holiday experience at A Room with a View

Pros: We liked everything about our stay at Chambre Avec Vue, even down to the fact that it's named after my favourite film. It's well named too; each room has a stunning view of Carcassonne. Serge and Jean Yves were inspirational hosts and we will definitely be going again. The rooms are beautifully decorated with carefully chosen images and wonderfully curated pieces of furniture.

Wonderful stay with hosts who are attentive and engaging, but not overpowering.

Pros: This is a gem of a place. Beautifully presented with fabulous hosts, Jean Yves and Serge. The rooms are perfect, stylishly presented and very comfortable. Fantastic shower too.Wonderful pool too. The little touches make this place - iced water brought to the pool whilst you take it easy - a bowl of (delicious) homemade ice cream whilst relaxing in the shower. Breakfast is delicious, homemade brioche, jams and fabulous conversations and laughs with the hosts, who genuinely cannot do enough for you to make your stay comfortable. A short walk to the centre and the medieval city so well located too.

Pros: From the moment we arrived, Serge and Jean-Yves made us feel genuinely welcome. Their warmth and attentiveness went far beyond five-star service—they were truly exceptional hosts. The property itself is a hidden gem. Stepping through the gate feels like entering a secret Garden of Eden: lush, serene, and beautifully maintained. Every detail of the decor is modern, tasteful, and thoughtfully curated, and the entire space is impeccably clean and spotless. Breakfast was a highlight: fresh, delicious, and served with care. If you're looking for a place that combines elegance, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality, this is an absolute must-stay. We can't recommend it highly enough.
