Fantastic location for the old medieval town
Pros: Location is spot on and that's the strength of this property. You can't be nearer the old medieval town of Carcasonne. The house has been nicely renovated with a contemporary feel. The host has been communicative. Large private parking place.
Cons: A few details could be improved to make this property truly exceptional. It could benefit from having just the basic cooking ingredients (salt, pepper, bit of oil), a blanket for the beds and better quality pillows. A coat hanger by the front door would be great (it was raining when we were there and no place to hang our soggy coats). The patio door and windows are not locking from the inside anymore so shutters need to be closed when leaving the property for security, lack of a drying rack if you use the washing machine. In terms of location, you need to go a lot further to find basic groceries.

Fantastic location to explore the Cite de Carcassonne
Pros: Friendly hose. Brilliant location to visit the Cite de Carcassonne.
Cons: Some of the fixtures and fitting needed minor repairs, but it didn't spoil our stay

Comfortable, clean and charming accomodation - an ideal base for a magical escape and experiences
Pros: Les Pimprenelles is located in an amazing, quiet location adjacent to the ramparts and very easy stroll across the little private road to walk into the cite. We could easily park our car within the Les Pimprenelles property, and was fully secure. Paul kindly sent us a video of how to get into the premises, safely. The accomodation is great, each room has gone through modernisation, attractive, comfortable. The views at the back of the property are beautiful, with choice of patio/ balcony on ground and first floor, definitely a sun trap. And air con, works very well. Bed comfortable. Kitchen is set up for self catering with essential facilities, although it is easy to stroll across the way into the cite where there are many great restaurants and bars. Very convenient for seeing everything and feeling the vibe of the history and culture of previous times - and modern times.
Cons: We liked everything! We think it is a perfect place to stay in a very special area of historic and gastronomic importance. As always, a swimming pool or little pool to sit would be welcome - but this is a luxury - and the wonderful showers upstairs help you to be cool and feel great. On entering the property through the metal gateway, be aware if your vehicle is low, that you do not ground it on the right hand side (gate resting side). If you have an SUV, you will be ok.

Superb accommodation for visiting Carcassone old town.
Pros: Superb location, just metres away from one of the entrances. Gated parking. To the rear there is a terrace and balcony with views over the valley. The interior is modern and comfortable. The two bedrooms are en suite.

Fabulous location, lovely house.
Pros: Superb location just across from the Cité. Spacious rooms and the two terraces were excellent to use. Modern styling, well designed bathrooms. Very safe and secure with the gate leading to parking. Lovely and clean.
Cons: Lack of basic items, such as hand soap, a couple of dishwasher tablets perhaps, a tea towel would be useful, better shower toiletries etc. all these things would have been welcome touches. Couldn’t find a sharp cooking knife, and a lack of cooking utensils.

Excellent - Perfect - Faultless.
Pros: Excellent - Perfect - Faultless. For a family of 4 visiting Carcassonne, this is Best accommodation you could arrange. Excellent communication from Paul, the owner. We have recommended to friends and family. Location is great, literally a stones throw from the Cite. We sat on the veranda in the evening singing along to Sting performing Live at the festival.
Cons: Nothing to report.

Pros: First, it was meeting Paul the owner who couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and courteous. He was busy with other commitments but took his time explaining everything and did not leave until he was sure we were happy with the villa. The villa was spotless, and spacious and had everything you needed for your stay. The bedrooms were of a good size with en-suite facilities. I'm happy to return in the future. The location was excellent a stone's throw from the Castle in Carcassonne We had a great time and wished we could have stayed longer.
Cons: The road outside was a little narrow a couple of drivers were getting impatient when we exited the villa and closed the electronic gates. It's not the owner's fault just the usual can't wait syndrome. If you have a long car reverse into the driveway it's easier.
