Pros: A beautiful and stylish house with an incredible interior. Beautiful views from the terrace and windows overlooking the fortress. The kitchen has everything you need. Each room has its own bathroom, which is very convenient. I can see that the owner loves his home. Plus, he gives advice on parking and restaurants, which can be useful.

Such a great spot to stay
Pros: So close to the walls we could almost touch them! Location was excellent, restaurants a short walk away. Easy access to inside the city walls. Walkable to the pretty bridges across the river. Property was as pictured, with renovations ongoing. Outside area was great to sit out with the sun shining on us.
Cons: A couple of levels in the kitchen area to be aware of, and the stairs are steep and windy if that is an issue for anyone.

Spacious character-full property with great location and views.
Pros: Fantastic location and historic building full of character. Great for a group- especially having three bedrooms all en suite. Good flexibility with a mix of double and single beds. Large terrace/garden with views of the castle. Even had a washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher.
Cons: Bathrooms a bit dated- eg shower water temperature/pressure tricky to control. Double bed a bit cosy.

A beautiful property with rustic charm in an outstanding location. We had a fantastic few days in stunning Carcassonne.
Pros: Exceptional location! Views of the Citadel, and the beautiful old town on your doorstep to explore. Plenty of bars, shops and restaurants within a 5-15 min walk. Host provided lots of good information and was very responsive on arrival day, entry to house was clear and simple. Decor inside is charming and perfectly complements the character of this period property. The house has been tastefully modernised with air conditioning in two bedrooms, satellite tv and up to date kitchen appliances, yet it still retains some of its quirky original features.
Cons: In August we could never find a free parking spot on the streets, so paid €16 a day for the nearby car park.

Absolutely amazing
Pros: Absolutely amazing apartment, not only because the location is amazing as you are at 5 min walk from the medieval city, there is an incredible view on the fortress walls from it, with a very nice outdoor area, also we loved the decoration made with taste and care, and all the nice furniture Friendly host who takes great care of giving us plenty useful informations like how to find the place and also what to do around. We highly recommend this place, its an exceptional experience
Cons: Finding a car park in these tiny medieval roads can be challenging but the place is definitely worth it, just be a bit patient

Excelllent value, Authentic Vintage house, stunning, but simply presented, as close to one of the World’s most famous ca
Pros: The location is perfect to visit both the Old Cite, the Canal du Midi & Carcassonne on foot. Short walk to a vibrant street with bars & cafes, plus a bakery a small shop just round the corner…. Or 10 minutes to the Pont Vieux & into town. To look out of the bedroom window and see one of the Worlds most famous heritage sites is amazing. Excellent value for money. We parked outside & took in bags, then easily parked our quite large vehicle nearby. Good walks along the Aude too if you want some countryside. Thomas the host was very helpful too. Beautiful quirky property which has been renovated with care in a sympathetic manner. It is ancient & modern… Do NOT expect a new build… It is SO much better. 3 fabulous ensuite rooms… with more extra beds than anyone could need… We know the area well…. Loved the house & would not hesitate to go back. Thank you Thomas.
Cons: Nothing. We had a lovely stay. Weather was not brilliant, but the stay was.

great location and views
Pros: lovely location right at the base of the fortified walls of the city and very well equipped house. Use Google to find your way into the old city as there's a tiny pathway and steps just minutes from the house that gets you up and into the old city in 5 minutes - far quicker and easier than walking to the road bridge -
Cons: As is usual with old, thick walled properties, the internet wifi didn't reach beyond the living room. This is perfectly normal in rental places except on this occasion the advert for the property specifically mentioned wifi in the top line of the house description so it felt as if this would have been a top priority at this property. Not an issue for us but others may book this place thinking that wifi is good throughout the property. The information provided by the owner said that the local shops (Carrefour City etc) were only 250-350m away. They were in fact a good kilometre away by foot so we needed to drive there

Very good
Pros: The apartment is in a great location. Spacious and well equipped, bed very comfortable. Stairs are awkward for some I can imagine but as only the two of us we only needed the bedroom on the ground floor so perfect.
Cons: Some areas and kitchen equipment require some cleaning but it did not spoil our stay
