Riverside Home Cottage

Our hostess greeted us warmly on arrival which set the tone for the whole stay. Her local knowledge was invaluable.

Pros: So obviously lived in by someone with an artistic eye. Very cared for, quirky and cosy.

Just what we needed

Pros: Pirette the host was wonderful she even got up early to make us breakfast for our airport run even when we said we were OK. The breakfast room was delightful. Thankyou regards Mike and donna

Lovely spot with a welcoming host!

Pros: Very kind and friendly host who was very welcoming from the arrival until the departure and made every effort to make sure we felt comfortable and at home. Delicious and varied breakfasts were served each morning and at a time that we could arrange with our host. This was a great location for exploring the Aude region and even the little town of Trebes was worth a visit.

Cons: Nothing.

A lovely and atmospheric stay in a small medieval town, within easy reach of Carcassonne.

Pros: A lovely and atmospheric family-home in old Trebes, with spacious rooms and original décor, overlooking the river and within easy access of a nice range of canal-side restaurants. Pierrette is extremely helpful and a wonderful source of information about the area. Breakfast is a home-cooked treat, with various 'spécialités maison' on offer. It was a wonderful base for visiting Carcassonne, while staying well-away from the tourist crowds. Very local, very pleasant.

Cons: Nothing to add.

Pros: An amazing home from home place to stay with the warmest genuine welcome. The host could not have been more accommodating or helpful. She puts genuine love and care into her work and is a joy to stay with. We could not have wished for a better stay. All done with warm charm and genuine hospitality.

Cons: There was nothing to dislike.

Loved our stay with Pierrette in her beautiful home

Pros: Pierrette was such a wonderful, warm and welcoming host, thank you for a very enjoyable stay at your lovely home. The room was very nicely decorated, as was the rest of the house, rustic cosy french charm. The bed was very comfortable, excellent shower and facilities. Breakfast was delicious, Pierrette made us pancakes and eggs one morning and mushroom omelette the next, with fresh coffee and bread with butter and compotes. She also gave us excellent recommendations on places to visit, cute little medieval villages in the area and driving routes to make the most of the gorgeous surrounding countryside and castles. Would recommend to anyone and really hope to stay again in the future!

Memorable French Stay

Pros: Location perfect. Warm welcome. Charming French breakfast and wonderful host.

Beautiful house and very comfortable stay

Pros: The house was incredible, beautifully decorated in a Moroccan/Algerian style. We had the top floor apartment and access to the pretty terrace with a view of the river. Bed was very comfortable and there was air conditioning. The host was lovely and helpful. She provided a delicious breakfast and she gave us good advice about a beautiful route we could take to our next destination.

Cons: The town of Trebes doesn't have much going for it but it's only a ten minute drive to Carcassonne.
