A charming place to stay

Pros: This is a wonderful place to stay. It’s beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is well equipped and shower lovely and hot. Much thought has gone into making this accommodation feel like ‘home from home.’ As previous reviewers have said, it’s cool and airy, peaceful, and the garden is an absolute delight. Check in is simple: Barbara (the host) gave detailed instructions and also responded very quickly to any queries we had. It’s located about a five minute walk from the train station and has many shops, restaurants, cafes and supermarkets nearby. The entrance to the accommodation is a little dark but this, for me, just added to its charm. I loved staying here and highly recommend it. Thank you Barbara.

Perfect apartment with stunning, private garden!

Pros: Excellent location, stunning garden, beautifully decorated apartment, everything you might need was provided and more, felt like a home from home, excellent communication with owner

Cons: A shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries would have been helpful.

Pros: WOW, was our first reaction when walking in. In the centre of Carcassonne but you wouldn't know it in the beautiful private garden. So tranquil, such an amazing space to relax, the plunge pool was a perfect way to cool down from lounging in the sun trap. Beautifully decorated and absolutely everything you need, home from home. All the little things like a pull along shopping bag, ideal as Monoprix is on the doorstep, an umbrella should you need it. Please don't let the lack of air-con put you off. The apartment is cool and airy, and the garden access is shaded by mature trees. There is a fan with sleep mode so not to disturb you. The host was so helpful with any questions and provided all the information for airport transfers. The building has plenty of character, and the entrance areas are atmospheric and one of a kind. The description doesn't do it justice. The old school french charm and fun interior decor far exceeded our expectations.

Pros: La logement de Barbara est une bulle de verdure au milieu de la ville de Carcassonne, c’est incroyable d’être au cœur de l’animation et en même temps de pouvoir se reposer au calme dans ce grand cocon verdoyant. A l’intérieur, pièces spacieuses avec belle hauteur sous le plafond , lumineuses et joliment décorées, Merci de nous avoir ouvert les portes de votre paradis avec nos 2 chats!

Pros: La maison de Barbara est un havre de paix au cœur de Carcassonne.. le jardin est très agréable et la terrasse sans vis à vis.. l’emplacement est idéal pour tout faire à pied .. le calme est absolu.. on se sent comme chez soi Les échanges avec Barbara étaient très instructifs.

Pros: El jardín y que está adaptado para los niños con muchos juegos para que se diviertan.

Cons: Por poner un pero, está algo lejos de la ciudad medieval.

Pros: La terraza era realmente un oasis de tranquilidad. Los niños siempre querían volver a casa para poder jugar en él y la sala de juegos. La casa tiene todo lo necesario para unas vacaciones en familia o con amigos.

Pros: Dank dieser feinen Unterkunft haben wir Carcassonne gut überstanden. Während unseres Aufenthalts kletterte das Thermometer auf knapp 40 Grad. Die Wohnung befindet sich im Erdgeschoß und blieb ohne Klimaanlage angenehm kühl. Auch sonst haben wir uns hier wohlgefühlt. Zentrale Lage, nette Einrchtung, super Dusche, bequemes Bett und nicht zuletzt der grandiose Garten – eine wunderbare sommerliche Oase.
