Hidden gem in Carcassonne walled city

Pros: The location inside the walls was perfect and the contact with the owner was amazing, so very helpful before, during and after our stay.

Cons: Everything was perfect

Great location, very comfortable and well equipped apartment and an excellent host!

Pros: The apartment was exactly as described and photographed and I particularly appreciated the garden view. The kitchen was well equipped with details left of how to walk to the nearest supermarket. The bed was very comfortable. It turned slightly colder whilst I was there and Lesa kindly dropped off additional bedding. You have to play a little bit with the shower settings for good water pressure. The shower attachment is better than the overhead option. Lesa was very responsive before and throughout my stay answering all of my questions. Great communication.

Cons: The apartment is at the very top of the building and lugging the suitcase up the stairs was a bit of a nuisance but I should probably pack lighter. As others have said although you can buy plentiful snacks and meals in the Citadel you do have to go outside to buy milk, fruit et cetera – it’s about a 10 minute walk each way to the nearest small supermarket .

Cosy well equipped studio in a great location

Pros: Great location in the cité. Comfortable bed, very clean, well equipped. We loved the use of space to fit in everything we wanted during our stay. Excellent communication with the host who was very helpful and friendly.

Cons: We couldn’t get the heating to work but the host provided an extra duvet which was great.

Perfect apartment for a stay inside the Medieval town

Pros: The flat is located in the heart of Carcassonne's medieval old town, surrounded by walls. It's easily accessible from the city. It has all the necessary equipment for a nice stay.

Cons: There are very limited options for free parking in Carcassonne, especially close to the old town, and the paid ones are quite expensive.

A wonderful place to stay inside the medieval city.

Pros: The location was perfect and everything about the apartment was wonderful. Communication was excellent. I highly recommend this apartment 10/10

Lovely studio apartment in spectacular location

Pros: The location was amazing. To step out of the door straight into the centre of the medieval city was wonderful. The dedicated parking was great to have. The air con was greatly appreciated. The host was very responsive and gave clear information.

Cons: A few more items in the kitchen would have been helpful. We did cook which I guess most don’t. A pair of scissors and some kitchen roll. We were in the red apartment which looked over the street so there was some noise - deliveries and rubbish collection in the early hours. It won’t bother most but something to be aware of if you are a light sleeper.

Carling don't do apartment rental but, if they did . . . .

Pros: The apartment was exactly what we were looking for. The location is superb, right at the hub of the medieval city, overlooking the historic well, and in the midst of everything. That said it was incredibly quiet overnight and in the mornings. The room was very comfortable and extremely clean with all needed facilities. Communications via email with the owner were really friendly and also, helpfully for anybody who may struggle with the local language, in very good English (despite me trying at every opportunity to use my relatively poor French! :-D ). Thank you Lesa (and the helpful people in the Tea Shop next door), we really enjoyed our stay. This is an excellent example of how apartment rental should be done. We will be back!

Cons: The only thing I can find to to put in the 'didn't like' section is more by way of a 'heads-up' than an actual gripe. The apartment is on the second floor so probably not ideal for people with mobility issues or elderly guests with heavy suitcases but, hey, is is in a historic building in an actual medieval castle! What else would you expect?

Location, air con, free parking, apartment has all you need.

Pros: We stayed 3 nights during a heatwave - the air con was welcome for sleeping at night. The location is perfect, in the centre of the medieval town. The apartment provided us with parking, only 5 min walk away. Apartment had all we needed.

Cons: All good.
