La Résidence du Château de Jouarres

Pros: Out of season feel as the grounds and stairwells were a little unloved . But for the price the place was clean spacious and we had a great welcome. The pool was a real bonus.

Great for Cyclists!

Pros: Great for cyclists! Spacious apartment, well-equipped. Asked for a late check out and we were given 2 hours extra which was great.

A great place to explore Minervois and also keep the children happy

Pros: Staff were great, the property was a really good size for a family of four. The pool was a real hit and we also enjoy visits into the local area

Cons: We had not noticed that there was no air conditioning and the fans struggled to keep us cool. Also we had not expected to have to clean the apartment thoroughly before departure, we had an early flight and couldn’t clean until the car was loaded and the place empty.

Surprised how great the place is

Pros: Calm, safe and quiet place, little park nearby, saw some donkeys. In between the vine fields.

Convenient place to stay near Carcassonne

Pros: Excellent people and service. Very friendly atmosphere. Location is great if you want to explore this area of France. The apartment for 5 has all you need for such a crowd including 2 bathrooms.

Cons: The furnishing is quite modest, but I would not expect much for such a friendly price. There is no air conditioning, and it might be problematic during heatwaves. In our case the temperature was around 25-28 degrees Celsius and it was ok.

Nice place to stay

Pros: It was the best place we stayed for one night on our road trips ever. Unfortunately we couldn't use pool due to weather. But we had a short walk around and enjoyed some wine on a terrace.

Cons: Thunder storms :)

Pros: Excellent chalet. Swimming pool. Close to Canal du midi.

Cons: Nothing.

Peaceful spacious stay

Pros: Our 2nd stay here, rooms spacious, everything you need for a self catering holiday other than an oven, very spacious grounds surrounding the apartment including outdoor pool with bar/cafe- seasonal. Staff exceptional, free carpark, nice terrace with seating area.

Cons: On arrival we had to clean terrace and apartment floor, no cleaning products. on arriving late there was no facilities or shops open, we had nothing to drink (a bottle of water would have been nice and wouldn't cost hotel a lot). There is nothing around the area so you will need some type of transport to get around, there are cars around that didn't cause us any concern but one of them had been sick Infront of our door entrance, we informed reception asking them to clean but took them 2 days to clean it up.

Great apartment staff and beautiful place to chill out after a long day cycling

Pros: Lovely apartment. Well equipped. We were cycling and stayed twice. On the way to the Mediterranean and so good stayed on the way back too. Lovely and quiet.

Pros: The place was perfect for a family with a dog. Pool was large and not very busy. Staff where excellent. Lots of space to walk the dog and activities within a short drive were also great.

Cons: Nothing, really.. Had there been air conditioning in the rooms, it would have been perfect.
