Maison de charme avec vue sur la cité médiévale.

A lovely place with great views.

Pros: A quirky cottage on the outskirts of Carcassonne, very much in the old French style. We didn't have too much trouble finding the place although we only knew we were in the right place because we recognised the balcony from the outside. The parking is private and secure behind lockable gates, with room enough for two good size cars. The pool area looked nice although we weren't there long enough to use it. The beds were comfortable and of a good size. The view of Carcassonne from the balcony is amazing (see photo of the old Cité at night)

Cons: These are not negatives as such, more advisories: The door to the bathroom couldn't open fully because of furniture in the way and the bathroom itself is very narrow. None of the bedrooms have doors on them. One of the doubles is upstairs from the dining room and has the balcony, the other bedrooms are both downstairs from the main floor. The twin room is at the bottom of the stairs and then the other double room is through and archway from the twin room without even a privacy curtain. The upstairs bedroom has shutters however the downstairs bedrooms do not. We did find some pieces of blackout fabric that were clearly meant to be hung up at the windows in lieu of curtains and we made use of them otherwise there would have been no darkening the rooms. The staircases themselves are curving and slightly wonky. There are lots of steps about the place. Steps up to the front door, steps between the dining room and the sitting room. Stairs up to the main bedroom and down to the other bedrooms and then two steps between the twin room and the double downstairs (see photos of the two staircases) All this is to say, while the cottage is a delightful place to stay, if you have mobility issues this may not be the place for you.

Pros: A great stay in a lovely French house, with wonderful views towards the Medieval City. The accommodation is spacious with a traditional charm. We hired a car which enabled us to explore the area easily, but the property is walkable to the centre. The host was very kind and greeted us.

Lovely French Villa

Pros: The house was absolutely beautiful and the view from the balcony was unlike anywhere we've ever stayed - when Sandrine showed us around we were both completely starstruck with the beauty of the place. Sandrine was also extremely welcoming and accommodating - couldn't wish for a more pleasant host!

Cons: Nothing! Everything was wonderful

Super séjour au calme avec belle vue de la Cité dans une jolie maison de caractère

Pros: Le calme, la vue, les espaces verts (la piscine est un plus, même si, hors saison, peu utilisée), enrichissent le plaisir de séjourner dans cette maison ancienne, qui, conformément à l'annonce, offre beaucoup de charme et allie décoration traditionnelle et atmosphère d'origine, avec modernité des équipements (cuisine avec tout le nécessaire four, plaque, grille pain, machine à café espresso avec broyeur, micro-ondes, congélateur, etc.). Qui plus est, une hôte attentive, disponible et généreuse (présent de courtoisie) a répondu parfaitement à nos attentes et questions. Un très agréable séjour et une adresse à recommander, pour les amoureux d'authenticité et de simplicité!

Zalige plek in Carcassonne

Pros: De vriendelijkheid van de gastvrouw. Het huis was prima en het balkon fantastisch. Tweede keer dat we hier verbleven en we komen nog wel terug.

Maison atypique avec jardin et vue sur la cité

Pros: Bel accueil de la propriétaire et aux petits soins! Maison atypique avec terrasse ayant une belle vue sur le château de Carcassonne. Bien équipé. A proximité du centre et de la cité.

Experiència inigualable

Pros: Todo estuvo perfecto, la casa, su interior( que no le faltó de nada) , su ubicación con vistas a la cité. El trato de Sandrine. Todo de 10.

Pros: Séjour très agréable en famille dans une maison atypique et surprenante (maison sur 3 niveaux avec de nombreuses marches et escaliers) chaleureuse et confortable. Terrain clos et parking privé. Mention spéciale à la très accueillante hôtesse Sandrine.
