La Terrasse du Temps Jadis

A comfortable and characterful apartment with helpful management in an ideal location.

Pros: The apartment was ideal for a short stay for 2 couples: spacious, clean, comfortable, perfect location for walking to medieval and modern city areas. The terrace was particularly lovely- after a day of walking round the various sites, we sat out enjoying the sunshine before going out for dinner. The covered area also meant, had the weather not been so kind, we’d have still been able to enjoy it. Or the spacious living room would have been very cosy on colder days.

Cons: One of the bathrooms is in the upper bedroom with just a curtain to separate the toilet, which is not a problem for a well established relationship but may be embarrassing for some. However the other bathroom (on same level as living room) is completely separate from the other bedroom - so still workable. Also need to keep your wits about you in the upper floor due to low beams! But this all added to the character of the apartment which we loved and would stay in again.

Pros: The accomodation was very clean, well equiped and a great location for our needs. We did not drive so the nearby care home, Residence Carmableu was a useful landmark for taxis. The accomodation was a pleasure to stay in & beautifully presented.

Cons: Nothing really, being very picky it would be a few more coathangers please & a washing line.

Pros: It is a beautiful home with excellent views and very close to the Old City. Amazing place and facilites. We had a wonderfull time.

Beautiful maison apartment in great location for the mediaeval Cité

Pros: Large, comfortable apartment. Tastefully decorated, furnished & well equipped. Comfortable beds & slept well. Great location for visiting the Cité de Carcassonne & La Bastide Saint-Louis. Quiet, safe location at the foothill of the Cité. Fantastic view from the upstairs room & terrasse. The terrasse is a lovely space for the warmer months although not used by us due to colder weather. We were very grateful to have a late check out for our late afternoon flight. Thank you.

Cons: It took us a while to work out the heating. Instructions would help. When we booked, a hot tub was mentioned but this has now been removed from the description as no longer working. A bit disappointing. As mentioned in some of the previous reviews the two light bulbs not working in the kitchen have not yet been fixed. Attention to details. Otherwise would have given 10 points for this property.

Pros: perfect location for the castle, handy little shop round the corner for groceries, beautiful decor in the flat and lovely rooftop terrace

Pros: The property has lots of character, beautifully furnished, comfortable, peaceful and with its access to the Citie. Perfect. Will return very soon.

Cons: Nothing comes to mind.

Would book again when shower fixed.

Pros: Outside space, hot tub, location, tastefully furnished

Cons: Despite earlier reviews regarding broken shower, this had still not been fixed making the shower virtually unusable.

Pros: Beautiful apartment and me and my mum had a fantastic stay. Being able to relax in the hot tub in the evening and look up at the city walls was very memorable and special.

Cons: The shower head was not attached so you had to either hold it or balance it on the shower pipe. It didn't really affect our stay too much but was all I could say to improve really.

Perfect spot for an weekend in Carcassonne!

Pros: This was an excellent property and perfect for a large group! The house was very clean, newly renovated, and had very cute decor and every appliance we needed. The location was ideal with a beautiful view from the rooftop patio and plenty of restaurants in both nearby and in the medieval city. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful!

Cons: The jacuzzi wasn’t heating properly during our stay, despite the host coming over to check it during the day. Additionally we couldn’t find any extra blankets or linens as promised.
