Maison des Remparts nichée sous la Cité

Very enjoyable stay in a fascinating part of France, particularly if you are a Kate Moss fan .

Pros: Delightful cosy property within easy walk of old city.

Perfect home for a visit to the medieval town , with a fantastic host

Pros: Lovely house situated within a small walk to the medieval city. Fantastic host Dominique who we will forever ever be grateful for her hospitality and kindness during our stay. We came as guests and left as friends

A delightful historic cottage at the foot of the ramparts of La Cite.

Pros: Our host Dominique left us a welcoming table full of breakfast goodies and the cottage had many items provided enabling us to cook our own meals. (Milk, tea, coffee, cereal, muffins, condiments, oil, napkins, cleaning supplies etc. were greatly appreciated). The cottage has heating (not that we needed it in 30 degrees weather) but also fans. This location is perfect for a visit to La Cite. Just a 10 minute walk up the hill from the cottage and you enter the ramparts. Within 10 minutes walk of the cottage there are several small shops for supplies.

Cons: The cottage has 3 levels with two bedrooms above the kitchen/living area. The stairs are narrow and without handrails and care must be taken going up and down. It is a very delightful historic property and Dominique has furnished it in a charming funky way.

Wonderful well equipped unit with great hosts

Pros: Spacious rooms, wonderful hosts, great deck, well-equipped kitchen, washing machine and drying rack, three comfortable beds (in two bedrooms), several English language TV stations. Excellent sound proofing from railway (hard to even know when a train goes by). The hosts go out of their way to make the stay comfortable.

Cons: Sound transmission from adjoining units was noticeable. Encountered some sketchy characters in the underpass between the unit and Avignon's old city (but there are lots of them in the city's tourist strip, too).

Perfect for our needs and location to the Cite.

Pros: Breakfast arrangements were excellent. Promised 0730 - 0800: Delivered at 0745. Bread still warm - Brilliant.

Cons: Main double bed mattress sank a little into the middle. Instructions to turn on TV would have been helpful - but not essential.

Fabulous property, wonderful host, spectacular position - all in all absolutely perfect.

Pros: The breakfast provided was fresh, plentiful and very well received.

Cons: There was nothing that could have made our stay any better.

A brilliant stay in a beautiful part of the city. Such a warm welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Pros: This is a lovely, historic property just a few minutes walk from the Medieval City. We got such a warm welcome and loved all the little special extras like homemade jams and supplies. The property was very clean and comfortable.

Cons: Nothing- it was exactly what you would expect from a ramparts house- quirky and every space is well utilised. The outside terrace is lovely.

Magical

Pros: Absolutely fantastic host and accommodation! We could not have asked for more for our 3 night stay in Carcasonne. Beautiful, comfortable house with a prime view of the castle, and waking up to fresh croissants and pain au chocolats every morning was just delightful! We will definitely be returning! Thank you Dominique for a wonderful holiday 😊

Placement idéale, hôte très agréable et serviable

Pros: Emplacement idéale pour le GRC (Grand Raid des Cathares) entre le départ et l'arrivée. Le tout au pied du chateau. Simplement magnifique.

FANTÀSTIC

Pros: Immillorables dies a Carcassonne, a casa de la Dominique. Ella és encantadora. Està sempre pendent del que li dius per aparèixer i solventar qualsevol cosa. El lloc és increïble. Caseta de poble de 3 plantes, súper acollidora i bonica. Neta a més no poder, tot ple de detalls que la fan perfecta. La Dominique et porta l'esmorzar cada matí: croisants, panets, pastetes... Tot boníssim! Ubicada a cinc minuts d'una de les entrades de la ciutat emmurallada, o sigui, immillorable situació. No deixeu de visitar-la. S'ho mereix.

Cons: No podria dir res que no m'ha agradat perquè realment m'ha encantat tot el que hi ha.
