Pros: The owners are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location is great at just a few steps from the main touristic attractions. The breakfast is complete, with nice fresh products. Overall, the stay was amazing (to be repeated!)

Le 1853 Narbonne

Pros: It was an amazing location. Right at the centre overlooking the canal. Great shops restaurants and bars nearby. We had a choice to have breakfasts on the roof terrace or the common room. Delicious!!! We will definitely come back here.. B&K...

Maison d’hôtes le 1853 is a truly special place

Pros: Maison d’hôtes le 1853 is a truly special place. Photographs do not capture the beauty of the building. We were welcomed so warmly by the owner and were very grateful for her restaurant recommendations. Breakfast on the terrace with a view on the canal was a memorable experience. It was wonderful to have secure storage for our bikes. We hope to return one day!

Wouldn't change a thing!

Pros: Small guest-house setup - extremely warm, friendly and helpful hosts made for a really comfortable atmosphere (even for how shy I am!). Spacious, comfortable room, easy access to public parking and great restaurants, and a great hotel-style breakfast selection (on-request the night before rather than buffet-style) out on a lovely terrace overlooking the canal. Easily one of my favourite stays of my life. The view is absolutely the star of the show, a beautiful third-floor overlook of the canal, beautifully lit during the night, but everything else was excellent, too. A trio of very sweet cats live on the top floor where the terrace is - they're separated from the rooms so we didn't have any allergy issues.

Cons: I have no personal complaints, but some considerations that may affect other people: Least important, the tile floor in the double room doesn't give a very cozy impression. Not a big deal but it took me a double take to realise everything that mattered was very nicely turned out. Second, the rooms are up three flights of stairs - I would expect this to be an issue for anyone with mobility issues, though we were kindly helped with our luggage, so that part wasn't a problem. Third, the toilet in the double room has a curtain rather than a door. You're probably on good terms with whomever you're sharing a room with, but if you're shy about that sort of thing it could be an issue! Finally, the area outside can be fairly bustling in the evening and morning - could be an issue for those who needs absolute silence.

Pros: We loved everything about our stay at Elodie's place. The atmosphere on the terrace was very special. We enjoyed the breakfast, the room was very beautiful, clean and cozy. Elodie was super friendly and welcoming. There was a festival in Narbonne in the meantime we were there and we got invited to a small rooftop party. We got a lot of advice on what to do in the area, like renting a bike and recommendations for restaurants. We would highly recommend this place and would always come back.

Pros: Everything is clean; the owner and the owners are very nice. The room was clean and spacious. The mattress and pillows are very comfortable. The place is right in the center, literally 20 meters from the old town.

Cons: The DJ played very loudly in front of the window; it was impossible to sleep until 23:00, very noisy. But if you're not tired from the road and don't want to go to bed early, it won't be a problem.

I would highly recommend this accommodation.

Pros: Amazing location, huge apartment, easy parking in public carpark, lovely host, delicious breakfast. A memorable visit.

Perfect location in the centre of the old town and canal

Pros: Fabulous and spacious accommodation, with a view to die for 😍. Eating a lovely breakfast on the terrace was a perfect way to start our days. The hostess was a lovely lady who made you very welcome on arrival.
