Great atmospheric place to stay

Pros: Superb location in the heart of a beautiful town. Easy parking two minutes away. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are many a short walk away. The building is old and narrow and we were lucky enough to have the large room at the front overlooking the square. The other rooms further back may well be a lot smaller.

Place with long history

Pros: The friendlyness of owner/staff was excellent. The rooms clean and functional. The cream on top was the breakfast in a cosy sunroom. One can feel the owners love to detail. An excellent place to stay and very affordable.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Pros: My wife and I had a wonderful stay at La Maison des Consuls. The room was beautiful with a small private terrace and Bernard and his team were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Cons: Nothing to dislike.

a delightful hotel in a stunning city

Pros: This was our third (or fourth?) stay in the Consuls in a period of some 15 years. The Consuls is a beautiful, classic old building on the main square of Mirepoix. Our room ('Marquis': top room) was well appointed, comfortable, with a great view over the square and the cathedral. Breakfast (we chose Parisian) was generous, with fresh bread and croissants, delicious freshly pressed orange juice, and very good coffee. The relaxed atmosphere of the hotel and its general setting make it a perfect base for exploring Mirepoix and its surroundings. Highly recommended.

Lovely small hotel, looked after very well.

Pros: Super room on the top floor with a lovely little terrace. Breakfast was great, typically French continental and the staff all very friendly. Having access to the car garage was an extra bonus as well. Arrived in Mirepoix on market day - another bonus! Other than that, although it is very pretty indeed Mirepoix is a fairly small place. However, all in all, a great find!

Cons: Whilst we coped fine, the stairs up to and down from the top floor may be troublesome for some. Nothing else to add!
