Chateau de Montcuquet

It was Perfect and there was a small village near by to go for restaurants and bars.

Pros: The location was great. The staff very friendly. The chateau and its surroundings was Beautiful. Great value for money.

French castle magic

Pros: How could you not like this!! Basically a kind person is allowing you to stay in a wing of their castle for reasonable money, just fabulous.

Fairy tale accomodation. Do not pass up the chance to stay here. We will be back

Pros: The accommodation is the stuff of fairy tales. The family room was superb. Lovely comfortable beds, interconnected rooms with a wonderful bathroom. The views are incredible and the family could not have been more welcoming. Without a doubt one of the most amazing stays on our trip.

Cons: Nothing. The castle is gorgeous and the family were superb hosts. Lovely to talk to a very warm and friendly.

Pros: Amazing location, peaceful and quiet. Very large bedroom and bathroom which people would no doubt appreciate, especially when staying for a few days. Glen was lovely and breakfast was simple, continental breakfast but with good quality products (bread in particular was amazing). Overall, a pleasant stay

Cons: Massive potential to the property. Although the bathroom was renovated, the bedroom and public areas could maybe do with a little renovation/decluttering. No key/lock on the bedroom doors which was a bit off-putting but we were only staying one night and didn't have that many valuables.

Pros: Our host was fantastic, really helpful and went over and above. Amazing to have an opportunity to stay in such a place. Lautrec was a fabulous place and we just happened to be there for community fête which was a lot of fun.

Pros: Amazing Chateau a short drive from the lovely town of Lautrec. The Chateau was great value - it is a project for the owners and needs some work but we loved it. It focuses on yoga retreats in addition to other guests. Our room was on the top floor and was HUGE, with amazing views over the countryside, a bathroom with a spa bath etc! Glen, the lovely owner, helped carry up our luggage and arranged a great, continental breakfast for the morning.

Our quick stop in lovely old castle

Pros: This castle is gorgeous. The owners are super lovely and have created a very pleasant laidback atmosphere. Loved that we could explore the castle.. and we had the castle to ourselves!! Our room was large and full of light. Like that the bathrooms are new but the rest of the castle has been left alone. The views are stunning and out of every window. The grounds have massive mature trees..bonus.. Great little ancient village of Lautrec to rummage and eat in, nearby.. Will go again, hopefully, as would have loved to see it in the sunshine!! Thank you
