Domaine de la Matte

Perfect stay!

Pros: We spent one night at this estate and were absolutely delighted. The setting is simply stunning, the cottages are charming and welcoming, and the hosts were very kind and accommodating. The food was excellent, and the room was spotless: clean, comfortable, with everything we needed, including air conditioning. We were very satisfied with our stay and will definitely return on our next visit to the area. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Experience at “ La Matte “

Pros: The Owners, Alex and Madeline were lovely people who had a vision and were implementing it beautifully with their gites and rooms. Great Value for money, and spotlessly clean. The Breakfast and Food they provided was homemade with Love and Care. You really can’t ask for more.

Lovely atmospheric old cottage with all mod cons.

Pros: Lovely renovated cottage in country setting with exposed beams, stone walls, wooden staircase and stable door. It maintains the atmosphere of an old building but has modern and comfortable kitchen and bathroom. Comfortable beds, plenty of storage. We had dinner there one evening, it was great and good value for money. Location about 20 mins drive from Carcassonne and 10 mins from stunning Cabrespine caves. You do need a car. Alex suggested a one-day driving tour route which we enjoyed. Owners charming and helpful.

Cons: No mosquito nets meant that we didn't have the windows open for fresh air. Wifi was not strong in some areas. Apart from that all perfect.

A wonderful place to stay close to Carcassone

Pros: This place is a gem. The hosts are a friendly Dutch couple who do their best to make your stay memorable and super pleasant. We had a lovely very clean room in a recently renovated building on the property grounds. The grounds are very nice, with a lovely pool to cool off after a hot day. They offer a breakfast with a range of options to choose from and it gets served in your private terrace. Wonderful. Everything inside our room and bathroom was very clean and well-thought-out. We would have stayed longer than one night but they were already booked up. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Pros: Good communication prior to arrival. Great welcome, room had air-condioning and a ceiling fan. An evening meal can be ordered on arrival. Quality of food very good. Situated on the Hexatrek trail

Cons: We had to spend extra to hire a car which would have been helpful information to have from booking.com. however, to stay there, it was worth it.

Pros: Accueil chaleureux ,très discret et une très bonne cuisine N’hésitez pas les lasagnes épinards,bananes un délice je recommande et les desserts sont à tomber et le petit déjeuner est très copieux.Un très bon rapport qualité prix .A découvrir

Pros: La gentilezza dei proprietari, la camera accogliente, la disponibilità ad ospitare i nostri due cani (abbiamo trovato al nostro arrivo la ciotola dell'acqua e premietti per loro), colazione e cena buonissime servite in camera con opzioni vegetariane, ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo
