We stayed for 2 weeks and it was excellent, highly recommended

Pros: Excellent, central location. Spacious apartment with complete kitchen/cooking facilities. Nice bathroom with heated towel rail. The view over the canal plus balcony was a bonus. The owner was very helpful in general including providing local restaurant options.

Very relaxing and comfortable. The hosts were very kind and helpful.

Pros: We liked the central town location, and the canal view. The apartment was in a lovely historic building and refurbished to a very high standard.

Well located apartment with easy parking

Pros: Well equipped spacious apartment overlooking the canal with easy parking outside. There is a convenience store a few minutes away which is useful. A very pleasant walk takes you into the centre of Narbonne along the canal

Beautiful period flat overlooking the canal.

Pros: Beautiful period flat which was very well equipped and comfortable. Small balcony overlooking the canal. Less than 10 minutes walk along the canal into the town centre. Friendly and helpful owners.

Cons: Nothing, everything was great.

Beautiful apartment in a quiet location

Pros: The host was friendly and explained everything in the apartment in detail. The apartment is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean and the small balcony charming. The canal is right outside the apartment and you can walk along it about 10 to 15 minutes to get into the centre.

Cons: Two very minor things. The first was that we didn't realise that the host was already inside the apartment waiting for us. As we weren't told ahead of time which apartment number it was, we waited outside for about 30 minutes for the host to arrive. After contacting them, we realised that they were already waiting for us in the apartment. So perhaps this could be communicated to guests ahead of time. The other very minor issue - and this is just personal taste - the hosts kindly provide a coffee machine but it is similar to a percolator and makes very weak coffee. A nespresso machine would elevate this accommodation to a 10. But really, this is a beautiful property and you shouldn't hesitate to book it.

Lovely apartment in a really interesting part of France

Pros: There is a great view of the Canal de la Robine from the apartment windows or balcony, which looks good in the sun or under the street lights. The apartment is a ten minute walk along the (very safe) canal from the bars, shops, restaurants and history of Narbonne - we only stayed for 5 days but will be back. The Mediterranean coast at Gruissan is only 7 miles away (€1.20 each on the bus, 30 minutes), and there are loads of vineyards/wineries to explore if you have transport. The hosts (names not shared to maintain privacy) are really helpful and friendly - if you are exploring this area, not sure why you would want to stay anywhere else!

Cons: Not sure that anything could be improved - the apartment is great, the location is brilliant and we thoroughly recommend a visit to Narbonne

Well-sited large apartment in peaceful area

Pros: The host Vincent was very welcoming when he met us at the apartment. He provided a lot of useful information about restaurants and so on. The apartment was spotless, well-equipped and large. We made use of the coffee machine. It was a 15 minute walk along the canal to the centre. We enjoyed watching from the small terrace the boats go by on the tourist cruises up to the next lock.
