Great location if cycling along the canal

Pros: Great location if cycling along the canal. The owner Sophie is extremely friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast with lots of home made and local produce.

Really enjoyable ,, easy, very attractive walk to restaurants on the canalside. Quiet location .

Pros: We were able to upgrade to a first floor room for a small charge, this had lovely views over the Bassin. Good breakfast, able to eat outside.

Fabulous

Cons: Nothing.Rooms a little small but the building is wonderfully old and quaint, so you can’t have everything!

Pros: Well planned and generous breakfast and very authentic French Gite in a wonderful location- with a fabulous view from balcony, quiet area and short stroll to restaurants and shops

An excellent stopover adjacent to Le Boat. Good restaurants an easy walk on the canal.

Pros: Breakfast was enjoyable. Sophie and staff friendly and helpful

Cons: Quite a long walk from the station and no taxis.

This was a few steps away from le boat base which was helpful.

Pros: Sophie was very personable and friendly. Easy access to the property with lock boxes. Door handle needs a good push down to open.

Cons: The weather was extremely hot. Fan only.

Pros: Our stay at Le Grand Bassin was a pleasant stay, except for having difficulty unlocking front door when coming back after dinner! The key lock was difficult. The breakfast was superb!
