Perfect place

Pros: Brilliant furnished airy room. Comfy beds. Friendly and knowledgeable owner (English speaking). The meal provided was absolutely wonderful. 10/10 on everything.

Magical

Pros: This place is magical. What an amazing house and it is amazing what Jeanne has done with it. The breakfast room and the dining room are wonderful, as are the breakfasts and the dinners. And she has a garage where you can put your bicycle. The big fire that happened around the village this summer is barely noticeable now. It is still an absolutely lovely village, enveloped in green.

A touch of class in Durban-Corbières

Pros: As a Genius Level 2, I have seen a HEAP of homestays and BNBs. So believe me when I say that the La Maison du Magistrat is absolutely top class. The owner, Jeanne, has spared no expense with the decor and finishes, and has thought of absolutely everything necessary for a very comfortable stay (including USB sockets and adaptors in each bedroom, and excellent bathroom products)! We decided to include dinner and breakfast in our booking, which was an excellent idea as not much else was open in the village and Jeanne's cooking was superb. We can't recommend this place any higher!

Very warm welcome by a hostess who couldn't do enough to please and look after our every need.

Pros: Breakfast was superb and copious, with the option of cooked breakfast if desired.

Cons: The rooms were too cluttered with trinkets and artifacts, so not a lot of space for one's personal belongings

Pros: Such a beautiful house! We felt like being in a castle! Jeanne and her husband did a amazing job on this old house. She is a very good host and a very good cook!
