La Résidence Opale

A wonderfully renovated and re-imagined building in a lovely village surrounded by nature.

Pros: Résidence Opale was really a great find. We are not strangers to Lagrasse or the surrounding area, but this is by far the most comfortable quarters we've found. In addition to a spacious and airy room with new furnishings, Opale offers an enclosed area with sitting areas and many lovely touches. The owners have gone to great lengths to renovate a traditional village building, and the fruits of their labors are everywhere evident. Lagrasse is not a large place, but Opale is very well located near to the river, the central square and one of the village parking lots. The main road, where most of the restaurants are located, is a short walk, and longer walks in natural surroundings are just seconds from the front door.

Cons: There were two 'problems' with the room we stayed in: 1. Instead of a set of drawers or an armoire, the owners have elected to furnish the room with some open shelves, which really didn't allow for convenient storage of clothes, coats and whatnot. 2. The shower area floor was graded to bring water to the drain, as it should be. However, when wet the tiles became very slippery and difficult to navigate. Perhaps some treatment to the tiles in that area would be in order. That said, we enjoyed our stay immensely!

We loved embracing the village of Lagrasse.

Pros: We self catered so no breakfast provided. Great facilities. Awesome hosts. Wonderful location.

Pros: Le studio est vraiment très confortable. La terrasse permet de prendre en véritable bain de soleil ou d admirer les étoiles la nuit. Ascenseur pour grimper au deuxième étage, si on a les bras chargés. Que dire de l accueil de Matthew... comme sa maison : généreux et chaleureux. Une très belle expérience, nous reviendrons !

Inmejorable opción para visitar Lagrasse

Pros: Ubicación perfecta junto al puente medieval de Lagrasse y mercado del pueblo. Excelentes anfitriones, volveré si tengo la ocasión de visitar de nuevo la región.

Pros: emplacement parfait, très joli dans les vieilles rues du village, très bel appartement

Pros: Très bonne rénovation et utilisation de l espace optimum.

Cons: Pas assez de rideaux pour l intimité vis a vis des autres locataires et pour masquer la lumière du jour, notamment le matin.

Pros: Maison médiévale rénovée avec goût en respectant sa valeur patrimoniale. Très bonne situation géographique, calme et confortable.

Ideale Unterkunft um auch bei einem längeren Aufenthalt von hier aus das Städtchen und die Umgebung zu erkunden.

Pros: Die geräumige und toll ausgestattete Ferienwohnung, sowie die Lage und die sehr nette Atmosphäre und die sehr netten Gastgeber.
